Message:

The heart is more than a place where emotions reside. It is where desires, motives, intentions and convictions sit. What you continually entertain within your will eventually find expression in how you think, speak, respond and live.

This is why Scripture tells us to guard our hearts diligently.

Guarding your heart does not mean shutting people out, avoiding relationships or becoming emotionally unavailable. You cannot give everything access to your heart and expect everything to produce good fruit. You want God’s will, but you are equally attached to your own way. You desire peace, yet keep entertaining what disturbs it.

Before asking God to change your circumstances, examine what is happening within you.

A guarded heart is not a hardened heart. It is a heart that remains open to God while exercising discernment about what it welcomes.

Midweek Challenge:

Identify one attitude, influence or desire that is pulling your heart away from God. Make a conscious decision to address it rather than continue entertaining it.

Prayer:

Father, give me wisdom to protect my heart without hardening it and let my thoughts, decisions and actions reflect a heart that is fully yielded to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

As I write this letter, I find myself standing at the edge of another season. I don’t know exactly what lies ahead for you or for me. We spend so much of our lives trying to prepare for what’s next, make plans, create timelines & imagine possibilities. Sometimes it does. Often, it doesn’t. If this year has taught me anything, it’s that the most important preparation isn’t having all the answers.

It’s becoming the kind of person who can meet whatever comes next with an open heart.

Over the months we’ve spent together, we’ve talked about healing, courage, disappointment, hope, beginnings, endings, the work of becoming, celebrated small victories, sat with difficult emotions, and learned that flourishing isn’t about pretending everything is perfect. It’s about continuing to grow, even when life feels uncertain.

Whatever you’re holding today, I hope you’ll hold it gently. You don’t need to rush yourself into the next chapter. There is wisdom in moving forward without having every detail figured out.

There is courage in admitting you don’t know exactly where you’re going, while still choosing to take the next step.

Looking back, I realise that some of the moments I once feared became the very moments that shaped me. As this season draws to a close, I don’t want to leave you with a list of goals or a promise that everything ahead will be easy.

Instead, I want to leave you with permission.

Permission to begin again, change your mind, rest without guilt, dream without knowing exactly how those dreams will unfold, outgrow old expectations, and believe that your life is still unfolding in beautiful and meaningful ways.

You don’t have to become someone else before your next chapter begins.

Thank you for letting these letters become part of your journey.

Thank you for reading slowly.

For returning, week after week, even when life was busy.

Writing these letters has reminded me that none of us walks through life alone.

Trusting God means surrendering the need to control every outcome. Sometimes, you say you trust God while secretly holding on to options in case He doesn’t come through.

Setting your intentions on God requires more than including Him in your plans; it means surrendering your plans to Him. It means obeying all the way, remaining faithful when the answer delays, and refusing to let fear dictate your decisions.

Your intention is not fully set on God when your confidence in Him depends on having another way out.

Don’t abandon wisdom or responsible planning, but don’t allow fear to become your master or your options to become your true source of security. Trust God wholeheartedly, and let His will guide your steps.

Midweek Challenge:

Map out the vision and surrender it to God today; take one step of obedience without allowing options to dictate your decision.

Prayer:

Father, help me trust You with my whole heart and let my confidence rest in Your faithfulness, not in my ability to control outcomes. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I’ve been meaning to write this for a while, the days your devotionals found me. At first, I treated them like something to read before moving on with my day. I didn’t realise they were doing something much deeper.

Your devotionals were teaching me to notice. For so long, I believed meaningful change had to look spectacular. I was waiting for the breakthrough, the perfect opportunity, and the moment when everything would finally make sense.

Your words became less about finding the next big moment and more about recognising the beauty already woven into the life I was living. There were mornings when one sentence stayed with me for the rest of the day, and evenings when I reread an old devotional and realised I had become the person I desperately needed when I first read it.

Somewhere between your gentle reflections, I stopped measuring my life only by milestones. I began measuring it by moments. I wanted to thank you for your consistency. Week after week, you keep showing up, writing, sharing, and the beauty of each piece is that it does not come with loud promises or polished perfection, but with honesty, gentleness, and the kind of words that sit beside a person instead of speaking over them.

You probably don’t see all the lives your writing touches; most writers don’t because many of us read quietly and rarely comment or reply. But we carry your words into doctor’s waiting rooms, lunch breaks, train journeys, sleepless nights, and ordinary mornings. We think about them long after we’ve closed the page. Please don’t underestimate what consistency creates.

Sometimes it doesn’t change a day, and perhaps that’s the blessing hidden inside ordinary days. So this isn’t a thank-you. It’s a celebration, a celebration of every time you chose to write when no one applauded. Every newsletter you sent, wondering who might need it, every sentence that reminded someone they weren’t alone, every quiet act of faithfulness that became a companion to someone else’s ordinary day.

Thank you for reminding me that life doesn’t have to be remarkable to be meaningful.

Sometimes the most beautiful stories are written in the spaces we almost overlook.

A Grateful Reader

Message:

It is possible to be gifted and still need character growth. You can pray powerfully, teach the Word, or exercise the gift of prophecy while struggling to demonstrate patience, gentleness, or self-control. In 1 Corinthians 13:2, the Apostle Paul reminds us that even if we have the gift of prophecy and understand mysteries, without love, we are nothing.

Our spiritual gifts reveal how God can work through us, but the fruit of the Spirit reflects the character He is developing within us.

Imagine someone who delivers a prophetic message but uses it to intimidate or humiliate another person. The gift may be present, but the way it is exercised does not reflect Christ’s love. Spiritual gifts should be exercised with humility, wisdom, and love.

God is not asking you to pursue gifts at the expense of character. He invites you to walk in the Spirit and allow Him to transform your heart.

So, beyond asking, “Lord, use me,” pray, “Lord, change me.”

A Call to Self-Examination: What Is Your Life Producing?

Perhaps you are a preacher, worship leader, intercessor, prophet, teacher, or someone who serves faithfully behind the scenes. People come to you for prayer, counsel, encouragement, or direction.

Today, the Holy Spirit invites you to examine yourself more than your public ministry.

Ask yourself:

• Am I growing in love?

• Can I remain patient when things do not happen according to my expectations?

• Do people experience kindness when they interact with me?

• Am I willing to receive correction without becoming defensive?

• Do I exercise my gifts with humility and self-control?

• Does my conduct at home reflect the same faith I profess in public?

• Am I becoming more like Jesus?

Prayer:

Father, help us to exercise every spiritual gift with love, wisdom, discernment, and accountability. May I never use what You have given me to manipulate, intimidate, or elevate myself above others. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Hello You,

I think about you more often than you know, not because I want to relive those difficult days, but because I never want to forget how brave you were. You felt as though life had become a series of closed doors and unanswered questions. Every time you gathered the courage to hope again, something seemed to knock the wind out of you.

There were mornings when getting out of bed was an achievement, conversations you smiled while quietly carrying more than anyone could see and when you wondered if everyone else had received a map for life except you. I know there were days when giving up seemed like the easier choice. Not because you lacked faith in the future, but because you had run out of energy in the present.

And yet… Somehow, you stayed. You didn’t become stronger because life became easier; you became stronger because you discovered that strength isn’t about never breaking. I remember the softness you protected, even after disappointment tried to harden your heart.

That is who you are.

And if today, that courage looks like resting, asking for support, starting over, or believing that tomorrow might feel lighter than today, that is enough. I’m proud of you.

The Version of You Who Kept Going

Grace is God’s gift, and our growth determines how we learn to walk in it, respond to it, and fulfil the purposes for which He has called us.

Spiritual growth is more than knowing Scripture and attending church. It is allowing God to shape your hearts, renew your minds, deepen your understanding, and mature your character.

There are things God desires to do through you that require you to grow beyond who you are today. The patience required for one season is different from the wisdom required for the next. The responsibility you pray for demands a deeper level of discipline, discernment, and dependence on God. Grace is not a reward for growth. Rather, spiritual growth helps you become more mature in how you receive, steward, and express the grace God has given you.

You do not have to know everything today. You have to remain willing to grow.

The more deeply you grow in Jesus Christ, the more intentionally you live out the grace He has placed upon your life.

Midweek Challenge:

Set aside intentional time to pray, study Scripture, or practise an act of obedience that strengthens your walk with God.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your grace and for the purpose You have placed upon my life. Help me not to remain stagnant in my spiritual journey. Amen.

“Why is this happening?”

“What am I supposed to learn from this?”

“Have You forgotten me?”

I prayed those questions like prayer more times than I can count. What made the season even harder was that I couldn’t see what God was doing. I wasn’t witnessing a breakthrough; no clear answers. I was waiting, and waiting can test your heart in ways few things can.

During that time, unknowingly, you kept waking me up every night for prayer, you kept saying Why is your mindset locked? Please give a little space for the Holy Spirit to squeeze Himself in. I always remember laughing that when the heart is open, what difference does it make? You didn’t give up on me, Temi (tears). You send devotionals to my WhatsApp with bible verse everyday non stop about God’s unfailing love. You wrote that God’s love is not proven by the absence of difficulty but by His presence within it.

I read that sentence over and over because deep down, I had begun measuring God’s love by my circumstances. When things went well, I felt loved. When things fell apart, I questioned it.

I sat with tears in my eyes, wondering what comes next. His love remained, and I began noticing it in unexpected places. In the friend who called at just the right time. In the Scripture that seemed written specifically for my situation. In the strength to get through another day when I thought I had nothing left to give.

Mama, thank you for these words: Mummy J: “Your circumstances do not determine your worth, your struggles do not cancel God’s promises, and your difficult season does not mean God has stepped away.

Thank you, Mama, for all you do that helped me recognise God’s love during one of the most difficult seasons of my life. What once felt like abandonment became one of the clearest demonstrations of His faithfulness. And for that, I will forever be grateful.

The way you speak, treat people, and live when no one is watching matters because being the light is encouraging someone who is struggling, telling the truth when it’s inconvenient, showing compassion when others have become impatient, or noticing the person everyone else overlooked.

Light changes the atmosphere by being present.

The world did not need another loud voice, but a sweet soul who is clear, compassionate, courageous, genuine and who influences without losing humility when she/he walks into a room.

Your assignment is to shine where God has placed you.

Think about the spaces and people God has placed around you this week. Choose one person and intentionally bring a little light into their day through encouragement, kindness, or a thoughtful message.

Lord, help me to shine wherever You have placed me; let my words carry kindness, and my life bring hope to those around me. Keep me from shrinking, hiding, or becoming discouraged. Amen.

Storms arrive without warning, a phone call that changes everything, and the door that closes unexpectedly. And in those moments, we are faced with a question: What is holding me steady? I’ve learned that storms have a way of revealing where we’ve placed our trust.

When everything is calm, it’s easy to feel secure. It’s easy to believe that our plans, abilities, and resources are enough. But when the winds begin to blow, and the waves begin to rise, we quickly discover what we’re anchored to.

That is why being anchored in Christ matters so deeply, remember an anchor doesn’t stop the storm neither doesn’t prevent the wind from blowing or the waves from crashing. What it does is keep the vessel from drifting. And in much the same way, Christ anchors us when life becomes turbulent.

One of the most comforting truths I’ve found in my walk with God is that He never promised a storm-free life. Jesus Himself said that in this world we would have trouble. Yet He also reminded us to take heart because He had overcome the world. What a powerful promise.

There have been seasons in my own life when I felt overwhelmed by circumstances I couldn’t control. I wanted God to calm the storm, but many times, He chose to strengthen me within it.

Looking back, I realise that some of the deepest growth in my faith happened during those difficult seasons. When you are anchored in Christ, you discover a peace that circumstances cannot fully shake.

And when Christ is your anchor, you can stand firm knowing that no wave, no wind, and no season of difficulty can separate you from His love.

The storm will not last forever, but God’s faithfulness will.

And when you look back one day, you will discover that the very season that threatened to shake you became the season that strengthened your faith the most.

Welcome to October, your month of Rest & Renewal.

Message:

Your identity must come from the One who created you, not from the people who failed to recognise you. God redeem what hurt you. Romans 8:28 reminds us that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. So don’t allow rejection to make you bitter. David was overlooked by his own family when Samuel came looking for the next king. His father didn't even initially consider him. Yet the one who was overlooked was the one God had chosen.

Don’t spend the rest of your life standing at a door God has given you grace to walk away from. You don’t have to chase what God has released. There is a difference between fighting for something and fighting to be accepted.

Fight for what God has entrusted to you.

Fight for your marriage when there is genuine repentance and a willingness to rebuild.

Fight for your calling.

Fight for your growth.

Fight for your healing.

But don’t spend your life begging someone to see what they have decided not to see. You can love people and still release them.

Midweek Challenge:

Now ask yourself: “Am I grieving this, or am I still trying to prove myself to it?” For the next seven days, challenge yourself to stop chasing validation from that closed door.

Father, thank You because my identity is not determined by who accepted me or rejected me. Amen

Mama,

My home no longer felt like a place of rest; from the outside, everything looked normal. We smiled when people asked how we were doing. We attended family gatherings & carried on with our routines.

Behind closed doors, there was tension. Misunderstandings seemed to happen more often. Conversations turned into arguments. Small disagreements became larger than they needed to be. It felt as though everyone was carrying something heavy, yet no one knew how to talk about it.

I tried to mediate conversations and find solutions, but no matter how hard I worked, I couldn’t create peace on my own.

Last week, tension was out of the norm. My mom was nagging my dad, and he seemed satisfied as he engaged her in laying curses on her, sitting at the edge of my bed, exhausted and discouraged. I kept replaying conversations, wondering what I could have done differently.

That night, instead of trying to figure everything out, I joined the TTO Night Prayer & I prayed. Lord, I don’t know how to fix this, but You do. For the first time in a long while, I felt the burden lift from my shoulders after the prayer meeting. I had been carrying responsibilities that belonged to God, trying to control hearts that only He could change.

The following morning, I got your email from one of your letters about surrendering our worries to God. You wrote about prayer not always changing circumstances immediately, but always changing the person who prays. As the weeks passed, prayer became a daily habit rather than a last resort.

Looking back, I can see that God was doing more than restoring harmony in my family. He was teaching me to depend on Him.

Thank you, PT for the night prayers everyday; sometimes I asked how you do it without failing, always showing up and the gentle letters you continue to share. During a season when my family desperately needed peace, God used your words & prayer to remind me where true peace is found.

And because of that, I kept praying.

A Reader Who Found Peace Through Prayer 🤍

Message:

There comes a point in your walk with God when you realise that not every reaction deserves a response. Someone can misunderstand you, and you don’t have to prove yourself. Peacemaking requires maturity. It takes maturity to refuse revenge when you know exactly what you could say to hurt someone. And sometimes, it takes the greatest maturity of all to recognise that silence is more powerful than a response.

We live in a world that often celebrates the person who has the quickest comeback, the sharpest response, or the last word. But the Kingdom of God teaches us something different. Jesus didn’t call us to win every argument. He called us to become more like Him.

“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” Matthew 5:9

Jesus said peacemakers, not peacekeepers. A peacekeeper avoids difficult conversations because they don’t want conflict. A peacemaker pursues what is right while refusing to surrender love. Sometimes making peace means speaking, listening, apologising, setting a boundary. And sometimes it means walking away because continuing the argument will only produce more wounds.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance…Galatians 5:22–23. Choose peace not because you are weak. But because you have decided that your peace is too valuable to surrender to every provocation.

Today, ask yourself: What kind of person am I becoming when I am offended?

Midweek Challenge:

At the end of each day, write down one situation where you were tempted to react and answer:

“What did I choose, and what would the mature version of me choose next time?”

Prayer:

Father, teach me the maturity to choose peace. Help me not to react from anger, pride, hurt or insecurity. Give me the wisdom to know when to speak, when to listen, when to apologise, when to establish a boundary and when to walk away. Amen

My lovelies,

As I journey through the books of the Gospels, I am continually struck by the life of Jesus. The Son of God had every right to seek recognition, honour, and comfort. Yet His life was marked by humility, compassion, and service.

Every act of service reflects the heart of the Father, while so much of our daily lives becomes centred on our own concerns, challenges, and responsibilities. Without realising it, our world becomes smaller as our attention remains fixed on ourselves.

Service is meant to expand our perspective; God invites us to be the vessel through which hope arrives. The beautiful thing is that serving doesn’t always require grand gestures.

In fact, some of the most meaningful acts of service are often the simplest.

A phone call to check on someone, a meal prepared for a friend, a word of encouragement offered at the right moment, prayer spoken on behalf of someone who is struggling. A willingness to listen when someone needs to be heard. These moments may seem small, but in God’s hands, small acts of love can leave a lasting impact.

I’ve learned that true service is not about recognition or applause but all about reflecting Christ. It is choosing to love people the way He loves us.

Without expecting anything in return.

And something remarkable happens when we live this way.

Message:

But God’s promises don’t become uncertain because circumstances change. His Word doesn’t lose its power because the timeline is different from what you expected. Abraham received a promise, but he had to wait. The waiting did not mean God had forgotten them. And perhaps, like Abraham, you are learning that faith is not only believing God for what He promised; it is trusting Him while you wait for it. “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23

The foundation of our hope: He who promised is faithful. And that is enough to keep you standing. So today, don’t measure God’s faithfulness by the speed of your circumstances. And when you cannot see the promise, hold on to the Promiser. Because your confidence is not ultimately in what God will give you. Your confidence is in who God is.

Midweek Challenge:

Write down one promise you’re believing God for.

Underneath it, write: “I will trust God with the process, the timing, and the outcome.” Let your prayer become a place where you surrender your fear and renew your trust.

Prayer:

Faithful Father, thank You that Your promises are sure. Give me grace to trust Your timing and courage to keep moving forward as I choose to stand on Your unfailing promises today.

For most of my life, I thought miracles were things that happened to other people.

They were stories shared during church testimonies, moments you read about in books, incredible accounts that seemed too extraordinary to happen in ordinary lives like mine. I believed God could perform miracles but wasn’t sure He would perform one for me.

I am facing one of the most difficult seasons I have ever known. My finances were stretched beyond what I thought I could manage. Family challenges weighed heavily on my heart. And an opportunity I had been praying for suddenly disappeared without explanation.

I had prayed, trusted, stretched my faith & waited. Yet nothing seemed to be changing. For the first time in a long while, I felt myself losing hope. During that season, I received your midweek devotionals about trusting God in the waiting. You wrote about how God’s silence is not His absence and how miracles often begin long before we can see them. Those words stayed with me.

A few weeks later, a door opened unexpectedly, a conversation led to an opportunity I hadn’t considered, and the opportunity connected me to someone who offered help at exactly the right moment. Then another provision came; none of it happened the way I imagined or according to my timeline. Yet each piece fit together so perfectly that I couldn’t ignore God’s hand in it.

Thank you, Temi, for your prayers, words of encouragement, and the reminders you share through your writing. During a season when my hope felt fragile, God used them to help me keep believing. And because I did, I was able to witness a miracle I never saw coming.

“What am I here for?”

Some people spend years searching for purpose as though it is a destination waiting somewhere far ahead of them. They compare their journeys with others, look at their achievements, and wonder if they are behind.

You see someone walking confidently in their calling and question your own. God has a way of revealing purpose through seasons, experiences, relationships, gifts, opportunities, disappointments, and even the things we never expected to encounter. That means your journey matters.

Even the seasons that didn’t look productive prepare something within you. The waiting developed your patience, difficult conversations developed your wisdom, unexpected responsibility revealed your leadership. The experience you once wanted to forget may eventually become something you use to help someone else.

I am not saying that every difficult thing was good or that you need to romanticise pain; what I did mean is that nothing has to be wasted. God works through the pieces of your stories that you don’t yet understand.

You were created intentionally, and your gifts are not accidental.

Purpose isn’t about discovering what you are good at, but discovering what your gifts are for.

Who can you serve?

Who can you encourage?

What problem can you help solve?

What burden has been placed on your heart?

What difference can your life make?

The clues to purpose are already present in your life; you need to slow down enough to notice them.

Midweek Challenge:

Recognise what has already been placed within you.

Write down three gifts or strengths you believe God has placed in you, and don’t overthink them. Allow yourself to see your abilities not as things you possess, but as tools that can serve a greater purpose.

Prayer:

Give me wisdom to recognise what matters, courage to take the next step, and discipline to steward what You have entrusted to me. Help me walk confidently in the assignment You have given me, trusting that You are shaping me even in the places I cannot yet understand. Amen.

Few things can feel as overwhelming as making a major decision. Whether it’s choosing a career path, starting a new chapter, ending a season, pursuing a relationship, or stepping into an opportunity, decisions have a way of stirring questions within us.

What if I make the wrong choice?

What if I miss God’s will?

What if the outcome isn’t what I hoped for?

If you’ve ever wrestled with questions like these, you’re not alone. I think many of us long for certainty. We want clear answers, detailed instructions, and reassurance that every step we take will lead exactly where we hope.

One of my favourite promises in Scripture is found in James 1:5: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God... and it will be given.” What a beautiful invitation. God never expected us to navigate life relying solely on our own understanding. He knew there would be moments when we would feel uncertain, confused, and unsure of what to do next. And rather than leaving us to figure it all out on our own, He invites us to seek His wisdom. I’ve learned that wisdom is different from information. Information tells us what is possible; wisdom helps us discern what is right. Information fills our minds. Wisdom guides our hearts.

And in a world overflowing with opinions, advice, and endless options, godly wisdom has become more valuable than ever. There have been seasons in my own life when I desperately wanted God to hand me a detailed roadmap. I wanted every answer before taking the first step. Instead, God often gave me enough light for the next step.

One of the greatest misconceptions about decision-making is believing that confidence comes from knowing everything. It doesn’t. True confidence comes from knowing the One who does. When our trust is rooted in God, we can move forward without being paralysed by fear.
