BE CARRIED
I am finally letting Him do what He has wanted to do all along...
To those feeling cold,
Since my last letter on smart shifts, I have been thinking a lot about what it means to be carried. I used to pride myself on being strong, independent, and capable. But then came a season when I was too tired to be strong anymore.
My prayers were whispers, my hope was thin, and in that space, I discovered something beautiful: I didn’t have to walk on my own.
“I have made you and I will carry you.”(Isaiah 46:4) That verse became my lifeline. It reminded me that being carried is not a sign of weakness; it’s a picture of God’s tender love.
These days, I let myself be carried more. I cry without apologising for it. I say yes when someone offers to help.
I rest when my body says it needs rest. And in those moments, I feel closer to God than ever before because I am finally letting Him do what He has wanted to do all along: hold me.
If you are in that season right now, I just want to tell you it’s okay. You don’t have to have it all together. You don’t have to walk every step alone. Let Him carry you. He delights to do it.
With Grace,
Temi Olu
