Boo Boo,
First, I want to thank you. Thank you for the testimonies you share, for the moments you open your heart and let me in. Some of your letters have made me pause, and yes, even teary for a minute, because you trusted me with the tender parts of your journey. Your courage to be honest about your struggles, your doubts, your storms humbles me and reminds me why I do this work.
After reading your stories, I am reminded that we are not meant to face lifeās storms alone. And sometimes, even after learning to rest, receive grace, endure the stretch, pray with a willing heart, choose trust, notice joy, lay down old weights, and walk step by step with God, we find ourselves in a storm we didnāt expect.
Life can feel like a night that refuses to break, a storm you never prayed for. The winds of disappointment blow hard. And sometimes, if weāre honest, it feels like God is silent right when we need Him most.
But here is the gentle truth I want you to hold today: darkness is not the end of your story.
Storms are not proof that God has forsaken you; they are often the moments where He draws nearest, even if we cannot feel Him. Think of the disciples in Mark 4, waves crashing, fear rising, and yet Jesus was right there in the boat. The storm didnāt mean absence. The storm revealed His presence.
Maybe youāre walking through a personal storm, emotionally, financially, spiritually, or relationally. Maybe youāre holding on by a thread, trying to stay afloat when life feels heavier than usual.
Hereās the miracle: Godās light shines brightest in the darkest places, not when life is neatly arranged, but right in the chaos, right in the questions, right in the moments that threaten to break us.
Iāve learned that storms mature us in ways sunshine never can. They teach trust, deepen faith, reveal what cannot be shaken, and push us toward the God who still speaks, still saves, and still strengthens.
If youāre reading this in the middle of your own storm, let this be your comfort today:
You are not alone.
God is not late.
This will not drown you.
The light is already breaking in ways you cannot yet see.
Sometimes God calms you and teaches you to walk through it with grace, strength, and resilience you didnāt know you had.
Wherever you are, may His peace settle over your heart like a warm blanket. May His light guide the next step, even if you cannot yet see the whole road. And may you discover, day by day, that the storm you feared would break you becomes the testimony that builds you.
The Light is with you, and the dawn is closer than you think.
With Heartfelt Prayer,
Temi Olu
