Faithful Stewardship
I am not here for the crowd, but I am here for the call.
Hi lovelies,
Some mornings, I wonder if my words matter. I stare at the blinking cursor and think, Who is even reading this? The temptation is there to measure worth by numbers, the hum of a “bigger” audience.
But then, I remember. I am not here for the crowd, but I am here for the call.
Some of the most precious seeds are planted in quiet soil, where no one claps for the sower. And yet, they grow. The right people, the ones meant to find these words, somehow do. Even if it’s just one person, one weary soul who exhales after reading because they feel a little less alone.
Writing, for me, has never been about the noise. It has always been about the voice of God whispering to my heart to be faithful with what I have been given. My small community isn’t “less than.” It’s exactly the field I’ve been entrusted to tend.
Faithfulness is not glamorous. It doesn’t trend. It’s showing up, week after week, with my five loaves and two fish, trusting they can be multiplied in ways I may never see.
So here I am, still showing up, still sowing in my little patch of the internet, not chasing the crowd, just tending the few. And maybe, just maybe, this is the truest kind of influence.
With gratitude,
Temitope Olu
