Dear lovelies,
When we hear the word giving, our minds often go straight to money, thinking about giving financially, supporting a cause, or helping someone in need. While giving includes those things, I’ve come to believe it is much bigger than that. Giving is a posture of the heart. It is the willingness to open your hands and trust God with what He has entrusted to you.
Sometimes that looks like giving resources; other times, it looks like giving time. A listening ear, an encouraging word, prayer, a helping hand, and a moment of kindness when someone needs it most. The beautiful thing about giving is that it isn’t reserved for those who have an abundance. It is available to anyone willing to be led by God.
Whether it is your time, resources, or energy, giving often requires loosening your grip and remembering that God remains your provider, which is not always easy. There have been moments in my own life when giving felt inconvenient. Yet those have often been the very moments when God reminded me that His economy works differently than mine.
The world says, “Keep more so you’ll have enough.” God often says, “Trust Me.”
And somehow, through that trust, He teaches us that abundance is not always measured by what we possess, but by what we are willing to share. One of my favourite things about giving is that its impact often reaches further than we realise.
And when we give as God leads, we often discover that the blessing flows in both directions. The person receiving is blessed; the giver is transformed. I pray you live with open hands and trust God’s provision.
And may you experience the joy that comes from reflecting His generous heart in a world that desperately needs it.
