LANDINGS
Your landing isn’t the end, it’s the beginning of the life He’s been preparing for you.
“See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.” Exodus 23:20 (NIV)
Message:
It’s hard to imagine there’s still a place prepared for you when you’ve been free-falling in debt, heartbreak and tough seasons. But God tells His people in Exodus, “I’m not just going to send you out there alone. I’m sending an angel ahead of you.”
God is both protector and path-maker. He isn’t just watching from a distance; He’s in motion ahead of you, setting things in place before your feet touch the ground.
But in the same breath, God also gives us a warning: Pay attention to the angel. Do not rebel against him… Do not bow down to other gods… Do not follow their practices.
The safe arrival at the promised place isn’t just about getting there, it’s about getting there with your heart still His.
Sometimes, the gentlest landing comes with firm instructions. God’s promises are sturdy, but they are often accompanied by Holy boundaries.
God’s Promises in This Verse
Protection: “I will send an angel ahead of you to guard you.”
Guidance: “…and to bring you to the place I have prepared.”
Victory: “I will be an enemy to your enemies.”
Provision: “I will bless your bread and water.”
Healing: “…and I will take sickness away from among you.”
God’s Warnings in This Verse
Avoid compromise: don’t adopt the values of the surrounding culture that lead you away from Him.
Stay set apart for His purpose, because your landing is not just for survival; it’s for Holy living.
Exercise:
Read Exodus 23:20-33 slowly today. Write down every promise you see and write down every warning. Ask yourself:
Am I listening for God’s guidance, or am I letting fear or culture lead me instead?
Which promise speaks most deeply to my heart right now?
Prayer
Father, guide me toward the place You’ve prepared. Help me not just to arrive safely, but to arrive faithfully. Give me ears that listen and a heart that follows You without compromise. Amen.
