Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6
Message:
I love a good ending, the kind where everything is tied up with a neat bow. But life rarely gives us endings when we want them. Most of the time, we live in the middle chapters, the part of the story where the tension is high, the outcome is uncertain, and we’re not sure if everything will work out.
I’ve had seasons where I felt stuck in those middle chapters, praying, hoping, waiting, wondering if God would ever bring things together. It can feel frustrating, even discouraging, to not know the end. But the middle chapters are where faith grows the most.
Faith is trusting that God is still writing, even when we can’t see the next page. It’s believing that the Author is good, that He has not abandoned the story, and that the ending will be worth the wait.
Are you in the middle of a chapter right now? Hold on to this truth: the God who began this good work in you will not leave it unfinished. You might not see the ending yet, but He does, and it is good.
Faith is trusting the Author even when you can’t see the ending.
Exercise:
Write down one area of your life where you feel “in the middle” right now. Underneath it, write this promise: “God is still writing.” Keep it where you can see it as a reminder that the story isn’t over.
Prayer:
God, give me faith to stay in the process and strength to keep turning the pages until Your good work is complete. Amen.
