Dearest Gentle Reader,
There are moments when you simply keep showing up, one prayer, one verse, one choice at a time. I received a message recently that moved me so deeply, I knew I had to share it with you with permission, of course. It is a reminder that God’s Word works.
I know, as you read it, you will find echoes of your own journey within her story.
She wrote:
“Your Bible plan came to me during the darkest season of my life.”
She began reading in October 2025, mostly out of self-righteousness, not discipline. Everything felt heavy, her mind crowded, her emotions exhausted, her spirit convinced that God was silent. At first, she was inconsistent. She missed days. She forgot her prayers. She felt like nothing was changing. But by the second week, something soft started happening inside her.
Every morning, when she opened the plan, the Scripture felt like a small light teasing its way through the cracks of her heart. Some days, it comforted her; others, it confronted her. Some days, she cried without understanding why. But she kept going.
By mid-January, after reflecting on the word Flourish, she noticed a shift: she woke up with hope and went to bed with peace. For the first time in months, she could breathe without feeling overwhelmed. God had been reaching for her all along; she just needed to slow down enough to notice.
Today, three months later, she writes:
“I’m calmer. I’m clearer. I’m healing. And I’m beginning to trust God again.”
Her story reminds us that transformation rarely happens overnight. True renewal grows slowly, like a seed that breaks the soil long before anyone sees the bloom.
If you are still carrying heaviness, confusion, or distance from God, let this truth settle in: your heart is being restored, even on days you cannot pray. God is closer than you think, especially in the seasons that feel the most lost.
Keep showing up… Keep taking it one verse at a time… Keep giving God room to breathe new life into you. And I am cheering for you every step of the way.
With light,
That Girl forever in your corner 💛
