PRESSING ON...
You have already been saved, already loved, already called… yet you are still becoming.
“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” Philippians 3:12 (NIV)
Message:
There’s a strange tension in our Christian journey. You have already been saved, already loved, already called… yet you are still becoming. Maybe you’ve been feeling like you should be “further along” by now, stronger in faith, freer from old habits, more certain about your calling. But this verse whispers: It’s okay to still be on the way.
Apostle Paul reminds us that perfection isn’t the point; pursuit is. Christ took hold of you for a purpose, and every step forward, even the wobbly ones, is moving you closer to living in that purpose. So don’t stop pressing on. The race is not against the clock, or others, or yourself. The race is toward Jesus, and He’s not at the finish line waiting; He’s right beside you, holding your hand.
Exercise:
Today, ask yourself:
Where have I grown complacent in my walk with Christ?
What distractions have slowed my pace?
Prayer:
Lord, I confess that sometimes I grow tired and distracted in this journey of faith. Give me the courage to press on, the humility to keep learning, and the endurance to run until I see You face to face. Amen.
