Lovelies,
After seasons of resting, receiving grace, enduring the stretch, learning to pray with a willing heart, choosing trust, and renewing the soul one verse at a time, we arrive somewhere tender and often overlooked: joy.
Joy is rarely something we stumble upon. Most times, itās something we notice. And in a world that romanticises grand achievements, God gently reminds us that small victories often carry the loudest whispers of His faithfulness.
This is how I count joy, and you may disagree with me, and thatās okay. For me, joy doesnāt always look big or dramatic. Sometimes it looks like:
⢠Waking up with a little more strength than yesterday.
⢠Praying again after a week of silence.
⢠Choosing patience when frustration feels easier.
⢠Smiling for the first time after a long season of heaviness.
⢠Finishing a task youāve postponed for months.
⢠Showing up imperfectly, but wholeheartedly.
We often tell ourselves that joy only counts when itās big, when it comes wrapped in fireworks, breakthroughs, answered prayers, and harvest moments. But the truth is, Godās joy is often tucked inside the ordinary: the walk, not just the destination; the seed, not just the fruit; the breath, not just the victory shout.
Jesus didnāt rush through His journey on earth. He lingered⦠He sat at tables⦠He took walks⦠He shared stories⦠He rested⦠He listened.
And in doing so, He taught us something: There is joy in the middle, not just at the end.
This week, I want you to pause and ask yourself:
What small victory did I overlook? Where did God strengthen me quietly? What ordinary moment held unexpected grace?
You may not be where you hoped to be yet, but you are no longer where you used to be. And that, my lovely, is worth celebrating.
I declare this week, a week of gratitude, a week of joy and a week of realising that flourishing doesnāt always look like blooming, it often looks like becoming.
Hereās your gentle reminder:
Joy grows where gratitude is planted.
And every small victory is a sign that God is still working, still guiding, still carrying you forward. So today⦠celebrate the little things. God is in them.
With Joy,
Your Online Star Girl
