SLOW SEASONS
This is the tension of faith to hold on when God is not in a hurry, but we are.
“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him.” Psalm 37:7
Message:
In the scripture, David's Waiting wasn’t passive for him; it was a deliberate choice to trust God’s timing even when nothing seemed to change.
Slow seasons feel like empty rooms, no sound, no movement, just time passing. But if you lean in closely, you may hear something quiet, roots going deeper. Faith stretching wider and God’s unseen work in the soil of your life. In our impatience, we want answers now.
In God’s wisdom, He knows growth needs space. The seed you prayed over is alive, but it’s still beneath the surface. The breakthrough you long for is unfolding, but not yet ready to bloom.
Slow seasons are not wasted time; it’s womb time. It’s where hidden things form, strengthen, and take shape before they are revealed. And one day, you will look back and see that the waiting room was the growing room.
Exercise:
Instead of asking "How much longer?", ask God, "What are You growing in me here?" Let stillness be your act of trust.
Prayer:
Lord, teach me the holy art of waiting. Help me to see that delays are not denials, and that slow seasons can be sacred. Strengthen my faith to trust that even when I see nothing, You are doing something. Amen.
