STEP OUT

Abraham left everything familiar without knowing exactly where God was leading him.

Lovelies,

God urges you to enter a new season, let go of an old one, forgive someone who has injured you, follow a goal you've been frightened to touch, or trust Him with a future you don't yet envision. And, to be honest, such moments can be frightening. But as I read Scripture, I find people who questioned, hesitated, and worried if they could do what God asked of them.

Nevertheless, they moved forth.

Abraham left everything familiar without knowing where God was directing him; Moses felt inadequate and questioned his capacity to lead; Esther risked her life to accomplish her role, and Peter jumped out of the boat into unknown waters simply because Jesus beckoned him. None of them had all the answers before taking the first step, so they simply trusted the One who was leading them. I believe many of us are waiting for total clarification before following the entire path.

There have been times in my life when God seemed to whisper, "Take the step." Some of those steps were little, while others seemed life-altering. Yet, every time, I learned something important: God's faithfulness became clearer once I began moving, rather than before. Sometimes you spend so much time standing on the precipice of what God is calling you to do that you miss the miracle that awaits on the other side of obedience.

If God is asking you to do anything today, I encourage you not to let fear have the last word. Fear will constantly give you reasons to stay where you are, but faith reminds you that God goes before you because He calls and equips, and when He opens a door, His grace is already waiting on the other side.

So take the initiative, send the application, begin the project, have the conversation, answer the phone, believe the prompting, and let God do what only He can. There is One who sees the whole road ahead, and you can trust them.
