A bruised reed he will not break, and a smouldering wick he will not snuff out. Isaiah 42:3
Message:
I have discovered a side of God I love deeply: His gentleness. God does not meet our brokenness with force. He meets us with compassion. Isaiah describes Him as the One who will not break a bruised reed or snuff out a faint flame. That means when we are at our weakest, God does not crush us; He cares for us tenderly.
I remember a season when my prayers were only whispers. I had no strength to pray eloquent prayers or sing loud songs. And still, God met me there. He didn’t demand more from me. He simply stayed close.
Friend, if you feel like you are barely holding on, know this: God is not disappointed in you. He is not waiting for you to “be stronger.” He is already near, cradling you in your weakness, speaking softly to your soul.
God meets our weakness with gentleness, not judgment.
Exercise:
Place your hand over your heart and whisper this truth: “God is gentle with me.” Breathe slowly and let those words sink in.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your gentleness. Meet me where I am today. Hold me close and remind me that even in my fragility, I am safe with You. Amen.
